Opposite side of the trading card is an article from the Daily Bugle that reads:
“INVASION OF THE SPIDER-SLAYERS
NEW YORK: The source of the mysterious Spider-Slayers that have engaged Spider-Man in battle repeatedly over the past week has been uncovered. The robots were designed by several tech-experts who had escaped from mental asylum, all under the direction of Alistair Smythe, who had attacked Spider-Man in the past. Smythe went so far as to encase his own body in a biorganic carapace to battle the web-slinger. But in the end, the web-slinger triumphed, and shut down Smythe’s Spider-Slayer factory once and for all.
